Well, I must admit I had nothing for front page - even after deadline. I did have someone come into the office with news of an item that they would pass along to me, fully aware of the passing of the weekly deadline. I said if they were going to get it to me later that day I'd put the photo and story on front page. That's how I filled up a good chunk of front page, well after deadline. It's probably the first time in a long time the front page filled in such a manner. I was glad.
