I refer to this as our 'murder and mayhem' front page - a first for me. We don't see a lot of serious crime around here, so a murder is very big news, so it naturally took the main position on front page. As it's also Christmastime I had to balance the front page with a 'feel good/good news' item. The mayhem part comes from the story about the local hockey team being disciplined by the league for a paperwork infraction. Also, the second front page with two photos in the almost five years I've owned the News Leader.
