The first issue of the New Year, and the first one since our Christmas break is typically pretty light on news. This issue is no exception. As for the front page photo, I had received a News Release just after Christmas about Alyssa and her recording session and knew I had a photo of her on file somewhere. I didn't plan to put this on front page, but since other Winter scene photos I took on New Year's Day didn't work out quite the way I had hoped, I bumped Alyssa to front. The photo of her was actually taken in April '08 when she was named Student of the Month at the local high school. I had two photos of her taken that day. This one was not used until now.
