This week I had a lot of photos to choose from for front page. This one was originally on the top of Page 11, the start of our sports section, but I decided at almost that last moment to put it on front. I was trying to avoid putting too many hockey photos on the front page in a row (it's the fourth hockey photo on front page in the nine issues published so far in 2009), but considering the reason for this one I reconsidered. I set this shot of Kevin and Kyle up when a presentation was being made on the ice at the local arena prior to a game. They cooperated fully, which made my job a little easier.
