Oddly enough, another week where I didn't have to take any photos for the paper as I had so many contributed for this issue. When my 'stringer' shared some of her photos with us I saw this one and thought it made a great front page photo for two reasons. First, I thought it showed how much ice had formed on the Similkameen River, and secondly, since I couldn't find anyone on our office (myself included) who would risk walking on it as these two fellows did I thought it spoke about the dangers of taking such a risk. With those two reasons in mind I put it on the front page early in the week and that's where it stayed.
