The weekend before this issue was being put together my wife and I went for a trip to a neighbouring community. Along the way I noticed what I considered an usually high amount of snow in places and made a mental note to snap some photos on the way home later that same day. This photo, taken from a small bridge on Highway 3 shows the Similkameen River with at least four feet of snow along the banks. In the week following our trip warmer weather started a fast thaw and this photo became the choice for front page. The story to the right of it just made it all tie together.
