A short holiday trip just after Christmas found me taking photos on the side of the road at a spot my wife noticed. It was 'postcard perfect' and not intended for the paper until I was in need of a front page photo. I also put a promo photo of a new columnist to our paper in place of the iconic marmot head - the first time the marmot (our unofficial newspaper mascot) had been replaced since taking the top left corner position on March 17, 2009!
