This front page was 95% complete by the end of the week when news broke about the Mayor passing away. It changed the majority of the page layout but I kept the original photo in place. The photo was taken at a rally early in the week where a youngster was standing with a protest sign. A lot of people snapped photos of this little guy and it wasn't until mid-week I decided to use it on the front page. The second photo, a head shot of the Mayor, was pulled from his website to run with the story of his death.
