The start of hockey season usually signals the end of Summer around here so when the local Junior B Hockey Club hosted a prep camp during the week I knew it was going to help pound that message home. I also knew some local boys were trying out (I'm on the hockey team Board of Directors) so I was hoping to capture a shot with a 'local' in it. Once in the Arena I snapped a couple of photos, with assistance from the Head Coach who pointed out the local boys to me. After those first few shots my batteries died and I had to run back to the office. I did manage a number of photos upon my return, but the shot taken just before my camera gave out ended up on the Front Page as I liked it the best of all I took that morning.
