I knew early in the week that the upcoming Friday was the traditional 'Poppy Day' hosted by the local Legion Ladies Auxiliary. I also know it usually makes for a good front page photo so I went out that morning and waited for pedestrians to stop and pick up a poppy. The first person who approached us after a short wait was this young lady. I asked if I could take her photo receiving a poppy and she said I could. I ended up staging a few of the shots with Beryl and Kara, with the last one I took ending up on the front page.
