I knew weeks in advance of the local pow wow that was going to be held over the holiday long weekend. It just so happened that it started on a Friday night, so I thought I could attend the first evening and snap all the photos I would need with hopes of a good front page photo coming out of those. Well, the Friday night event started 90-minutes late and I wasn't sure how long I was prepared to stay...but I waited and once the dancers started hitting the floor I snapped away. This photo I selected once I downloaded my camera the following morning as it just stood out from all the other photos.
