A lot of photo-ops presented themselves during the week so there were many possible 'front page photos' but I sort of had it in my mind that a radio-controlled jet event on the weekend was going to produce the shot I was looking for. As it turned out, a touring car event was also in town long enough to overlap the first day of the RC jet show and they all got together during the afternoon and set up some photo-ops. I wasn't there, but someone who was snapped a few photos and came into my office right after thinking I'd be interested in one of the photos - and he was right! I chose a medium angle shot of two jets on the runway in front of two cars. I liked it for a number of reasons including the combination of two events joined into a single one, the bright colours and the setting.
