This week's front page was finished mid-week, but had no photo. I knew that with the annual rodeo taking place on the weekend that I'd get the photo I was looking for during that event. The weather was horrible, cold and wet, and my camera lens kept getting covered in raindrops so I wasn't sure I'd get any good shots. I did end up taking about a dozen before I packed up and went back to the office. Normally I'll stay for the entire event but I just couldn't see the sense in staying if I wasn't going to get any photos. The shot that ended up on the front page was a fluke in that I was shooting cowboys coming out of the bucking chutes and got a couple of good shots. When I snapped this one I had to wait for the camera to process it and show me a preview before I knew I actually caught the cowboy getting bucked off. It wasn't completely in focus, so I tweaked it a bit on my computer and liked it enough to finish the page with it.
