A province-wide municipal election over the weekend allowed me to hold the front page for much later than usual. The local elections were decided by acclimation last month but a regional district seat was still voted for and I wanted the winner of that election on Page 1 to appear alongside an election wrap-up story. I had a photo I had taken at an all-candidates forum but was looking for something else. The winning candidate's son works for me part-time so I requested a photo of his dad in a farm setting. The photo I received was perfect and finished the front page as I had expected it to.
