A local non-profit group has tried more than once to organize an election of officers and has failed. They planned one more attempt prior to coming to the decision of possibly folding. I was part of this group a number of years ago (was President for a few years) and wanted to give them an extra push for this meeting. That is why I chose to use an old file photo from the event on the front page. The date of the meeting changed once just before this issue went to print and I was able to include that. I did get a late notice after the paper had been published that the date changed once more, so that (in my mind) pretty much cancelled the extra effort that went into this front page.
