This was a fairly easy front page photo to capture. The local skating club hosted their annual skate-a-thon mid-week and I attended for about half an hour. During that time I got into one of the players' boxes, opened the gate to the ice and crouched down for some shots of skaters coming right at me as they did their fundraising laps. I shot a number of photos and used a few with this one standing out enough for me to put it on the front page.
