The first ever RCMP Regimental Ball held in town was going to take place March 28th. I knew about it for months and as the date approached I decided I needed a front page photo from that event. As I could not stay for the entire evening I planned the 'right' time to be there with organizers. I knew a couple days before the event I wanted a photo of the local Detachment Sgt. and his wife on the front page dancing. The dance portion of the evening was to take place long after I had planned to leave the venue so I pulled Gary and Kim aside before the event started and totally staged the photo. It was EXACTLY as I had imagined it to be days before and was very happy with the result.
