The busiest weekend of the year included a handful of events over the course of the three-day Canada Day holiday so I knew I had a lot of possible front page photo-ops. What I didn't count on was not being able to snap just the right photo until the very last event on Canada Day. The colourful clothing helped, but I have to admit I staged the 'Maple Leaf tattoo photo' with Frank and Keisha, but I knew I was on to something when others in the park came over to take the same photo. The second photo on this week's front page is of the only local horse entered in the horse races which started the weekend of activities. The fact that it won the biggest race of the day guaranteed it's place on page one.
