The annual 'Grad Issue' usually features a group shot of the Grads. It's just something I've been doing for the past few years. The photo is set up and taken with the cooperation of the school-hired contract photographer. Both myself and he (or she) work together the morning of the graduation ceremonies to get photos for both our purposes. I also publish smaller group shots inside the 'Grad Issue' along with photos taken during the ceremony. For a change one of the graduates asked for a photo with a cap toss. The contract photographer and I liked the idea. I'm usually really bad with my timing on these kinds of shots, but decided to snap one anyway seeing as it was a one-time chance. I liked it so much I decided to use the informal, fun cap toss photo on the front page rather than the normal formal, serious group shot.
