I knew the local elementary schools were hosting their annual 'Sports Day' late in the week and I was hoping for a photo from that event to find its way onto the front page. When I got to the school there was about 20-minutes worth of games left before a recess so I snapped a few photos thinking I was going to be out of luck with my plan. That was until I downloaded the photos and saw this one with three girls running together in a race. I thought it was a perfect shot with happy kids playing in the sunshine.
