This week's front page photo was a fluke of sorts. I had the page pretty much done but needed a photo. A couple of local historians popped into my office to let me see a project they had been working on. In the conversation they mentioned that they were on their way to present this finished volume of transcriptions from historic documents to the museum. I asked if I could meet them there. Once at the museum I staged a series of shots with the two historians and the museum manager. Then I took a couple just of the historians. I asked them to 'look through the books and try to look interested' or something like that and ended up with this shot, which I liked a lot as both appear to be enjoying this labour of love project they took on in November.
