The big local summer celebration in town revolves around live horse racing and traditionally the majority of the issue that comes out following that weekend is filled with photos. This year was no exception. With no less than half a dozen activities planned throughout the weekend there was no shortage of things to point my camera at, but I was leaning towards a race photo for the front page. I typically stand along the fence line as far down the track as I can get and manage a single shot per race. I ended up with a few good race shots but this one stood out for me and ended up on the front page.
