The dike rebuilding project is happening in the neighbourhood where we live with the completion point only three doors away from our home. As it is so close to us, it's been a hard story to ignore and as a result we have been snapping progress photos almost daily to document what has been going on there. This shot, snapped by my wife Brenda one morning on her way to work, really stood out to me and I thought it earned a spot on the front page pushing all other candidates aside.
