One of my local hockey pals has become an 'unofficial' photographer for my newspaper as he takes some great shots and is never afraid to share them with me. I knew a spring hockey camp was held recently at the arena, but never got a chance to see any of it. That was okay, as I knew my pal was there and was not disappointed when I saw his photos. He shot a series of about half a dozen of the scene I pulled one from for the front page. I also used a few more of his other camp photos inside this issue including a large full colour one to run above a story about the hockey camp. There were other local activities I took photos of during the week, but none of them came close to the action shot I placed on the front page.
