The local fire chief was being honoured at a local town council meeting for his many years of service. I got a phone tip from town hall and passed it on to my reporter who snapped two shots of the presentation being made. The best one of the two ended up on the front page to run alongside the story of the event. There were a lot of other good photos taken during the week that ended up in the paper, but when I saw this one mid-week, it went instantly to the front and nothing else was even considered.
