A totally unexpected news release with a photo saved me a lot of work with this week's front page. As we have chosen August to be a 'shop local' month with a feature running all month emphasizing a number of local businesses, the news release stating more new jobs are coming to the area as the result of an expansion just fit perfect. It also just made sense to put both the story and submitted photo on the front page. The secondary story about a giant local project hitting deadline and budget made this issue a 'good news' issue from the very first page.
