I had a few photos to choose from for this week's front page but opted to go in a slightly different direction. I typically try to avoid using photos that are clearly a 'big giant ad' for a client sponsoring an event but this was an exception. The bake sale that was held at a downtown business was a fundraiser for a local safe home program. That was enough to push it to the front page. I had been tipped off about the sale by the woman who ended up in the photo and requested my wife run over to the store (two doors from our office) the snap a photo or two. I liked this one and all the bright colours helped with my decision to use it on the front page.
