I had a lot of advance notice of a mid-week all-candidates forum for the candidates running in a local regional district election. As is normally the case, I try to get a shot of all the candidates together for the front page and then run individual shots of each inside the same issue. That's the formula I've used for many years so I knew this week's front page photo was going to be the candidate group shot. Before the forum started, I asked the moderator if I could get the shot, he gave me a few moments to take care of that and I had the photo I needed.
