This was another one of those weeks where I didn't have very many photo-ops to attend, but had a number of photos contributed by readers. A series of photos received late in the week from a long-time pal of mine who moved to the area a number of years after I did gave me a lot to work with. I used four of the shots he sent and decided to put one of an elderly gentleman whose family had made an unusual request of my pal on the front page. They wanted him to enjoy 'one last day' fishing on a local lake. Without telling any of the story, I used it because it also displayed a normal activity in the area on a hot sunny day and would have been a tough shot for me to get otherwise.
