It doesn't happen often, but we do end up at the scene of an unfolding news story once in a while. On our way home with the newest issue of the weekly paper on the BC Day Holiday Monday we were stopped just east of Hedley because of a single vehicle accident. We were about 15 cars from the actual scene so I grabbed my camera and went as close as I could to see what was happening. Once I started to take photos I tried hard to wait until both accident victims' faces were hidden from view and snapped a couple of photos. I chose this one, framed by spectators as I liked the way it looked. The two women in the accident only received minor injuries so with a 'happy' result I used this photo on the front page.
