Although there were no shortage of photo-ops in the past week, I didn't take very many photos. A local mining accident just after last week's deadline produced a lot of news during the week, which pushed a lot of other news aside for this issue. Lucky for me, a frequent contributor who lives near where the accident, a tailings spill, took place sent a lot of photos over the week and I used one of the better ones for the front page. A couple of the other shots from the same incident ended up elsewhere in this issue.
