Early in the week I was on a private, personalized tour of a local mine site. The offer was made months before and I wasn't sure what to expect. As it turned out, the site, overlooking the community, gave me some vantage points for photos of the area I've never had before so I took advantage of it and snapped a lot of scenery photos. This one, of the community we live in, I posted on a social media site and the volume of positive comments received actually prompted me to use it as the front page photo for this issue.
