A week ago my wife and I went for a drive about 100-kilometres from home with our cameras to take photos of the fall colours. We try to do this once a year, so possibly that trip made me more sensitive to the changing colours in our downtown core so one morning during this past week, while walking downtown, I spotted this dramatic scene full of fall colours barely a block away from our office. I took my camera there the following day, snapped some photos and chose this one for the front page. There were other events during the week that could have bumped it to somewhere else in the paper but I felt it was the right time to celebrate the changing seasons.
