It was a busy weekend around town during one of the largest annual celebrations of the year. I attended a few events at different venues and had a lot of options for the front page photo. I knew I didn't want to use any parade photos as I had room for them inside this issue, so I was kind of hoping to luck out at the different activities taking place at the local fairgrounds. That's where I found these calf ropers and shot a couple of photos. When I saw how serious this young cowboy looked during his turn I decided it had to go on the front page.
