The annual car show was on the weekend and I had basically reserved a spot on the front page for a photo from that event. Late in the week I received the logging truck accident photo and a story that bumped the car show. I knew I was going to have car show photos inside this issue, but still needed to find a way to get a shot on the front page to get people to see we were there (the show is outside the front door of our office). I decided to run two photos on the front page to address the issue. It's a trick I've used before, but not often and in this case it made the front page full and clean.
