Front Page - July 15, 2014

I knew last week that a big event was planned to take place at the local mine with plans to have local media on site. I scheduled my week around it expecting to get a front page photo. While the project wasn't exactly what I had pictured in my mind, and it was delayed once during the day, it was still worth the wait. In simple terms, a 33-ton piece of metal was being lifted into place to complete a large section of a conveyor belt. It was an amazing event to witness and I shot a video as well to go along with the front page photo.
